Read Chinese Menu is operated by Meng Sun, based in Hong Kong. Contact info@readchinesemenu.com for privacy, account, service or purchase enquiries. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens or full payment-card details.
Service and acceptance
These terms apply to Read Chinese Menu at www.readchinesemenu.com. Use the service only when you may lawfully agree to these terms or have consent required by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Menu assistance, not a restaurant order
The service offers AI-assisted menu recognition, dish explanations, translation and dining communication tools. Features and languages vary. A proposed order or staff card does not place a restaurant order, reserve food, confirm a recipe or establish a final price. Confirm the actual dishes, quantities and charges with restaurant staff.
Accuracy and food safety
AI can misread photographs, omit dishes, translate incorrectly and confuse ingredients, portions or prices. Typical recipe knowledge does not establish a restaurant’s ingredients or cross-contact practices. Verify allergies, intolerances, halal and other dietary needs directly with restaurant staff. Food Profile and risk indicators are aids, not medical advice, certification or a safety guarantee. If staff cannot confirm a critical requirement, do not rely on the app to resolve the uncertainty.
Accounts and saved information
Protect your sign-in access and use information you are authorized to provide. Guest access, accounts and device storage have different recovery limits. Local history and preferences can be lost when storage is cleared or a device changes. Do not assume every saved item or order is synchronized or preserved across reloads.
Credits, Day Passes and purchases
Review the current checkout price, currency, included features, duration and usage limits before paying. Paid features may use Credits or a Day Pass; PayPal processes supported checkout. A Day Pass covers the features and period stated in the purchase flow and is subject to applicable usage and capacity limits. Recovery depends on account and purchase records. These terms do not replace the offer or refund disclosures associated with your purchase.
Failures and refund enquiries
Recognition may fail or be incomplete. A cancellation or lost connection can occur after processing begins; check the result and balance before repeating a request. Contact info@readchinesemenu.com with a purchase reference and issue description for disputed charges, failed paid features or refund requests. Applicable purchase disclosures and mandatory consumer rights govern eligibility. This page does not promise automatic refunds or remove statutory rights.
Permitted use
Upload only material you are entitled to process. Do not submit unlawful content, impersonate others, access systems without authorization, scrape private data, bypass payment or usage controls, or overload the service. Do not use this service or any connected Google API to create, facilitate or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery. Rate limits and fair-usage protections may apply. Access can be restricted to address abuse, security or legal requirements.
Content and third parties
You retain rights you have in uploads and text. Requesting a feature authorizes the processing needed to provide it, including configured providers as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not infringe others’ rights. Branding, software and editorial material remain subject to their owners’ rights. Generated output can be inaccurate or similar to other output; exclusive rights are not promised. External services have their own terms.
Availability and responsibility
Connectivity and external hosting, authentication, AI and payment services can fail or change. Continuous availability or a particular translation result is not guaranteed. Verify important dining and payment information. Any responsibility limitations apply only as permitted by applicable law; nothing excludes non-excludable liability or mandatory consumer remedies.
